Theme is: Smart, safe and accessible places.
We look forward to seeing everyone there.
The theme for the conference is 'The changing face of transport in NZ'.
It will be held in the stunning Te Papa venue, Wellington.
The theme this year is ‘Prioritising for people’.
This year’s conference will be held in Wellington and enables participants to gain an appreciation of what the Government and its agencies expect of all practitioners within the transport sector.
Additionally we will explore some of the great work and research currently being undertaken, that prioritises for people in the way we plan, regulate, maintain and operate our dynamic future proofed transport system.
The theme for 2WALKandCYCLE 2018 is 'Moving Towards Healthy Communities'. International and national researchers and practitioners will speak about the methods, policies and programmes they have used to promote walking and cycling, with a focus on ways that active, human-powered transport can help achieve the goal of healthier, smarter and more liveable cities.
The topic for this year’s conference is “Then. Now. Tomorrow” which will encourage debate and papers in this area. ‘Then’ is about reflecting and learning from the past but not dwelling on it. ‘Now’ is what we are doing right now to transport people (and goods) and improve their lives. ‘Tomorrow’ is about moving forward with consideration of the future and how people will live, work and travel.
